It is the policy of Deseret Book Company that no woman will be turned away from a Time Out for Women or Time Out for Girls event because of financial limitations. We are keenly aware that the cost makes attendance prohibitive for some. And so, in an effort to assist those women, team members have the authority to request a scholarship ticket for anyone who is in need. It is based on the "Widow’s Mite Principle", with the attendee paying whatever is her version of the full-price ticket.
We have found that those women who contribute something toward their registration have a much richer experience and are more committed to using their tickets. So, in the spirit of sacrifice (the "Widow's Mite" principle), we ask the women who are receiving a scholarship registration to give an anonymous cash contribution that is equal to "their price version" of a registration and TOFW will make up the difference. We want this to be completely anonymous and so we do not require the recipient to tell anyone how much it is they can afford (any amount is acceptable).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP SUBMISSION
When a team member learns of a woman/girl that desires to attend TOFW or TOFG, but does not have the means to pay for registration in full, she should explain the program and extend an invitation to participate in the Scholarship Program. Once a woman has decided she would like to participate in this program, the Team Member she is in contact with will email her contact information to our Scholarship Coordinator (found in right sidebar of the Team Blog).
The Scholarship Coordinator will need the following information about the women registering for the scholarship (ALL INFO is required and should be collected before submitting to Scholarship Coordinator):
Name
Phone
Email
Mailing Address
The scholarship recipient will then be registered by the scholarship coordinator and she will receive a confirmation email from TOFW including a link to print her ticket. The Team Member should collect her CASH CONTRIBUTION (no checks accepted) in a sealed envelope with "SCHOLARSHIP" written on it and turn into TOFW at the Will Call table when you arrive at the event on Friday. If it is not possible for you to get the envelope from her, she may turn in the envelope herself at the event.
If there are any questions about a scholarship registration or if anything changes, you can work directly with the scholarship coordinator. Scholarship registration is NOT TRANSFERABLE.
